In case you guys are wondering, this section is dedicated to the
music I hold
so close to my heart. That music is called electronic. You can use
anything from a drum machine to a computer. Electronic music has come a
long way from back in the 70's. Nowadays, you can produce an entire
album on a PC or a MAC, but back
in the day you had to hook up all of the equipment yourself, figure out
how it works and
create some interesting sounds.
The
reason I call this site "The Wasteland" is because 1) it's so cool, and
2) alot
of people think of electronic music as not very interesting,
synthesizers,
keyboards and drum machines aren't real instruments, even though every
damn
genre uses one of them. Electronic music has had its share of
popularity, but is
generally an underground scene.
Electronic
Influences:
I
could think
of so many bands who have influenced my style and taste in music. Bands
like
Depeche Mode, Front Line Assembly, Information Society, Anything Box,
Mesh, Snog, etc... have helped keep
electronic
music alive.
